The Moscow Arbitration Court ignored a defamation lawsuit filed by Mayor Yury Luzhkov’s wife against opposition figure Boris Nemtsov because it was filed improperly, Interfax reported Tuesday.

Yelena Baturina filed the suit on Friday over Nemtsov’s report on Luzhkov’s terms in office, which claimed that Baturina’s company, Inteko, owed the success of its real estate business to her marriage with Luzhkov.

Interfax did not say exactly how the filing of the lawsuit, which seeks 200,000 rubles ($6,700) in damages, was inconsistent with the court rules.

Luzhkov also sued Nemtsov. The report focused on the relationship between City Hall and Baturina, who is ranked as the country’s richest woman.
