Court Dismisses Gay Case

Moscow’s Tverskoi District Court on Friday dismissed a lawsuit filed by gay activists against Mayor Yury Luzhkov for using the derogatory word gomiki to describe homosexuals in televised remarks in June.
The court said it rejected the case, which sought symbolic damages of 1 kopek, for lack of evidence.
