'Bewitched' Pensioner Murders 6

A Russian pensioner, 66, who told police he suffered from a persecution complex stabbed and axed six people to death in a two-hour rampage, Itar-Tass reported. The pensioner first stabbed a friend as the two squabbled in their Ural mountains village Saturday, then went home where he killed his wife and son with an ax. The next victims were his neighbor, the neighbor's pregnant wife and another man living nearby, killed when they opened their doors to him. The man, identified only by his last name, Shayakhmetov, finally set his home ablaze before he was seized by police. Shayakhmetov was quoted as telling police that since his youth he had felt a threat from mysterious "hostile forces." He claimed his six victims had all used witchcraft to put a curse on him.
