Beck Has Dodger Blues

SAN FRANCISCO () -- Rod Beck's string of 41 straight saves came to an end as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied for four runs in the ninth and then held on for a 7-6 win over the Giants.

Beck, who hadn't blown a save since Aug. 15, 1993, was given a 4-3 lead after Glenallen Hill broke a tie with an eighth-inning homer on Wednesday.

But the Dodgers pounded Beck (0-1) for five hits and four runs. The Giants rallied for two runs in the ninth on a single by Barry Bonds.
