NEW YORK () -- H.J. Heinz Co. announced Wednesday the opening of a $20 million baby-food factory in Georgiyevsk in the Stavropol region.
The plant produces Heinz-branded cereals and cereal with fruit for sale throughout the country, the company said. The factory will be operated in partnership with Georgiyevsk Agro Industrial Co., the company said. When fully operational in 1999, the plant will have an annual capacity of 5,000 tons of processed foods.
