Australia Protests Deal

CANBERRA, Australia -- Australia said Thursday it had protested to the Russian and U.S. governments over a deal between the two guaranteeing Russian uranium producers access to the U.S. market. "Recent representations to both the Russian and U.S. governments have made clear our concerns and indicated that we will be closely monitoring the trade impact," a spokesman for Australian Energy Minister Bob Collins said.
