ABN AMRO in Almaty

MOSCOW -- The Dutch ABN AMRO Bank will open a joint venture bank in Kazakhstan on July 1 with equity participation from the International Finance Corporation, or IFC, bank officials said Wednesday. The bank, based in the Kazakh capital Almaty and capitalized at $10 million, will be owned 51 percent by ABN-AMRO, 29 percent by Kazakhstan's commercial Kramds Bank and 20 percent by the IFC.
