Gazprom Gets Stake in Venture From Eni, Enel

Gazprom completed the acquisition of a 51 percent stake in SeverEnergia, a gas venture in northern Russia, from Italy’s Eni and Enel, the companies said Wednesday.
The deal, first announced in April 2007, will leave Eni with 29.4 percent of SeverEnergia. Enel will retain 19.6 percent, according to the Italian companies. Eni will get $940 million and Enel $626.5 million in the transaction, with the cash to be fully paid in March of next year.
