Yamadayev, 35, a Chechen rebel commander, was shot dead outside his luxury home in Dubai in March 2009. Delimkhanov, a relative of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, had been accused by Dubai police of masterminding the murder and put on the Interpol wanted list. Delimkhanov and Kadyrov both denied being involved.
"Other persons suspected by the UAE [United Arab Emirates] in the murder of Yamadayev remain on the wanted list," an unnamed source at Interpol told Rosbalt.
Delimkhanov's name does not appear in search results on Interpol's website for persons of Russian nationality wanted by the UAE.
Two men, including a former horse trainer for Kadyrov, were convicted by a Dubai court in April 2010 in connection with the killing and served 27 months in prison.
