AMSTERDAM — Gazprom is interested in buying Dutch football club AZ Alkmaar from the bankrupt DSB Bank, De Telegraaf reported Saturday without saying where it got the information.
Both AZ’s supervisory board and the Dutch football association would need to approve the takeover of the club, currently controlled by DSB’s caretakers, the newspaper said. AZ is the Dutch football champion.
