Gatwick Airport

Aeroflot will begin daily flights from Moscow to London Gatwick in November the Aviablogger website reported Monday.

Russia’s biggest airline will fly to Gatwick from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport starting on Nov. 15.

Lower landing tariffs at Gatwick allow the airline to offer cheaper flights, according to Aviablogger. The website reports that the cheapest Moscow to Gatwick return ticket for November is 15892 rubles ($248), while the cheapest return ticket to Heathrow is 18351 rubles ($287).

Aeroflot’s Gatwick service will depart daily from Sheremetyevo at 1:15 p.m. and land at 2:30 p.m. local time, with the flight departing 15 minutes later on Sundays.

The return flight leaves Gatwick daily at 4:10 p.m., landing at Sheremetyevo at 10:50 p.m., with the service running 50 minutes later on Sundays.

The Easyjet budget airline suspended flights between Moscow and London last year because of falling demand driven by the collapse in the value of the ruble and a tightening of the Russian visa process for British citizens.
