UNESCO Adds 17 Pskov Monuments to World Heritage List

Seventeen unique architectural monuments in the northwestern Russian city of Pskov were among the latest cultural gems to join UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites on Sunday.

The churches and fortifications date back as far as the 12th century and reflect the style of the Pskov school of architecture, which influenced Russian architecture throughout the centuries.
