Moscow's fourth airport will open on March 15, according to Tomas Vaishvila, head of the Ramport airport management company, the Gazeta.ru news website reported.
"The new airport will work 24 hours a day from March," Vaishvila said.
Ramenskoye Airport is expected to serve 50,000-60,000 passengers during its first month. Yearly passenger numbers are expected to reach 1.9 million, Gazeta.ru reported.
Russian Railways has confirmed future construction of a direct rail link to the airport, Vaishvila said.
The airport's management company will provide several other transport options to reach the airport, including a bus from the Kotelniki metro station that will run every 30 minutes, Gazeta.ru reported.
