Balcony Collapses, Killing Russian Man

A balcony collapsed from a building in northern Moscow, striking and killing a 68-year-old man who was walking nearby on Monday morning, the Interfax news agency reported, citing a police spokesman.

The incident occurred during reconstruction work at a building on Leningradskoye Shosse, Interior Ministry spokesman Andrei Galiakberov was quoted as saying.

The Investigative Committee plans to question construction company employees and other persons in charge of the building's maintenance, a spokesperson said, independent Ekho Moskvy radio reported.
