Bus Crash in Russian Region Kills 8, Injures 48

Eight people were killed and 48 injured in a bus crash near the city of Tula on Monday night, Russian media reported Tuesday.

The bus was carrying 61 passengers from Moscow to Yerevan. All of them were Armenian nationals, the RIA Novosti state-run news agency reported, citing local police.

A criminal investigation has been launched. The police believe that technical failure caused the crash, but are also investigating the possibility that the driver may have fallen asleep, the report said.
