Lingerie firm Victoria's Secret has revealed that 10 new "Angels" will be joining its ranks — and Russian model Kate Grigorieva has made the cut.
Grigorieva, 25, joins nine other women from across the world who will work as a brand ambassadors — or "Angels" — for Victoria's Secret, the lingerie firm said Tuesday on its website.
The Russian beauty, who hails from the northern Murmansk region, will be put to work straight away, featuring in an upcoming campaign for the Body by Victoria collection this summer, the lingerie firm said.
"The expanded Angel lineup gives Victoria's Secret the largest group of contract models in its history and the most powerful collection of established and emerging models in the world," the statement said.
Grigorieva appears to have been delighted by the news.
"Many industry icons have been Angels, and it's an honor to follow in their footsteps," Grigorieva was cited as saying by New York Daily News.
The 5'11'' model moved to New York after finishing as a runner-up on the television show "Russia's Next Top Model."
She joins an elite group of top models to have earned their "wings" from Victoria's Secret, including Helena Christensen, Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum.
