Siberian Police Accused of Threatening to Rape Underage Suspects

A group of police officers in Siberia's Zabaikalsky region are being investigated over claims that they elicited confessions from four underage suspects by threatening them with electric shockers and condom-covered batons, news website reported Monday.

One minor said police told him they would take him to the toilet and rape him, Anastasia Kopteyeva, a lawyer and the director of the Zabaikalsky human rights center, was cited as saying by
