Federal Judge Beaten in Moscow Cafe Brawl

A federal judge was badly beaten in an alcohol-fuelled brawl in a cafe in southwest Moscow on Saturday, a police source said.

Judge Nikolai Alekseyev at the Cheryomushkinsky District Court was hospitalized after the incident with multiple injuries to his face, stomach and chest.

The attacker, who was celebrating his wedding in the cafe, has been detained. An investigation is ongoing.
