Fired Worker Arrested for Hoax Bomb Under Boss' SUV

Police in the region of Ivanovo have detained a man suspected of taking revenge on his former employer by placing a fake bomb under his SUV.

The employer's daughter spotted the device, fashioned to resemble an explosive, under her father's Nissan X-Trail while she was walking her dog, police said Monday.

The woman called the police after seeing wires under the car.

Bomb disposal experts found two pieces of laundry soap made to look like TNT, a mobile phone and a battery with wires coming out it.

Police identified the suspected perpetrator as a man recently dismissed by the owner of the SUV for poor performance on the job.

The man could face up to two years in prison.
