436 years ago today, on Oct. 10, 1577, a decree was signed to create the Pusharsky Prikaz, or Artillery Order, an organization charged with the managing and training of artillery officers and military engineers for the Tsars' armies. The body was the precursor of what would later become the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
