Metro Construction Sites Will Open to Public

Visitors will soon be able to tour metro stations under construction at regular "open door" days, Acting Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said last week.

"Now residents of nearby neighborhoods can come and see how it's done" said Sobyanin, during a visit to one of the six new metro stations to be completed in 2014 on the north end of the Lublinsko-Dmitrovskaya subway line, MK.ru reported.

Special tours will be conducted for children so they "don't climb over fences on the construction sites," Acting Deputy Mayor Marat Khusnullin said, RIA Novosti reported.
