Rosneft Ramps Up Cooperation with BP and Exxon

Rosneft chief executive Igor Sechin and ExxonMobil Chairman and CEO Rex Tillerson have signed an agreement on the creation of an Arctic Research Center and technology sharing in Washington, D.C.

Before flying to the U.S., Sechin met his counterpart at BP, Robert Dudley, in London on Tuesday, Interfax reported. The two discussed the course of the Russian company's integration with TNK-BP and opportunities for the development of cooperation between the two companies.

Sechin also met with British Climate and Energy Secretary Ed Davey.

Meanwhile, Rosneft will rename TNK-BP Holding as RN Holding. Shareholders will be asked to approve the renaming, as well as the transfer of executive control of the company to Rosneft from 2014, at their annual general meeting.
