Paramedic Suspected of Depraving 450 Minors Detained

A 29-year-old paramedic suspected of coercing 450 underage girls to undress and perform lurid acts before their web cameras was detained on Monday.

The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, prowled social networks under a female name offering young girls the chance to model for a fashionable magazine, provided they partially undress for him via webcam, Moscow police said in a statement Tuesday.

After various stages of disrobing, the girls would then be blackmailed into baring more and performing lecherous acts, as the man regularly recorded the purported interviews, the statement said.

Data including names and contact information for 450 different girls, many ages 8 to 13, was found on the suspect's computer, police said. The man faces up to 20 years behind bars.
