Rosneft Eyes Iraqi Oilfield

Rosneft is engaged in negotiations with its strategic partner, ExxonMobil, on buying part or all of the U.S. company's stake in the West Qurna-1 project in Iraq, the Middle East Economic Survey said, citing several unspecified sources, Interfax reported Thursday.

Another Russian state oil company plans to win a section-development tender being held by the government of Kurdistan, the Middle East Economic Survey reported without naming the company.
