Former England manager Fabio Capello has been chosen to take charge of Russia's national football team, the Russian Football Association said Monday.
"We are waiting for Capello in Moscow over the next few days for the final details and the signing of the contract," acting association president Nikita Simonyan said.
"I am happy if contract negotiations go well as I believe they will. It will be a wonderful adventure, as Russia is a great country," Capello, who quit as England boss in February, told Italian news agency ANSA. Capello reportedly will be paid 10 million euros a year.
