Ingushetia Pension Fund Head Arrested on Fraud Charges

The head of the Ingushetia State Pension Fund has been arrested on suspicion of fraud, Interfax reported Wednesday.

An unnamed source at the region's investigative committee said Movli Vyshegurov was arrested Tuesday night after multiple investigations into the fund showed large-scale violations and abuse of power by officials in issuing so-called "maternity capital," government subsidies for families with more than one child.

The source added that deputies and experts at the fund were also arrested.
