Mummified Body Found

Police are investigating the discovery of a mummified male body in an apartment in the far eastern city of Khabarovsk, local investigators said Sunday.

The body was found when an ambulance was called to aid a 72-year-old woman in the south of the city. After helping the woman, doctors found the mummified body of her 75-year-old husband lying in a bed in the neighboring room.

Forensic experts are investigating the cause and time of death. Once these factors are confirmed, authorities will decide on a further course of action.
