Belarus in EU's Sights

BRUSSELS — Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko and his supporters may face sanctions limiting access to finance after European Union leaders called for new measures Friday to pressure him over alleged human rights abuses.

At a summit, EU leaders expressed "serious and deepening concern" over Belarus' crackdown on civil society and said more sanctions should be imposed.
