Kazakh Activists Jailed

ALMATY, Kazakhstan — A Kazakh court has sentenced two opposition leaders to 15-day prison terms for organizing a rally for democratic change.

Opposition leaders Amirzhan Kosanov and Bolat Abilov were detained before the rally. An official from their party said Saturday that both began a hunger strike after sentencing.
