Prison Blogger Freed

Businessman Alexei Kozlov was released from a Perm region prison colony Wednesday, a day after the Supreme Court ordered a retrial of his case.

Kozlov, who became a celebrity blogger during his three years in jail, said he would try to prove that he was convicted with falsified evidence.

"There were many faked documents in my first trial that [investigators] refused to look at. Now we will insist that they will be studied," he told Gazeta.ru.

Kozlov said he planned to go back into business, but that he would also try to help fellow businessmen behind bars. "I want to see that this sort of thing can no longer happen in Russia," he said.
