Prokhorov's Bank Raided

The office of MFK Bank, partially owned by Right Cause party leader Mikhail Prokhorov's Onexim Group, was searched Thursday.

"We got there to 13 Tverskoi Bulvar, but several people in masks did not allow us inside," a Right Cause source said, adding that there were several investigators inside the office. An Interfax correspondent saw a car from Moscow's Central district local police leave the courtyard of the building, where the party's headquarters is also located.

Prokhorov owns 27.7 percent of shares in the bank, ranked 92nd in Russia by size of assets in the second quarter of this year by Interfax. Other shareholders include Alexander Abramov (19.71 percent), Viktor Vekselberg (19.71 percent), Suleiman Kerimov (19.71 percent) and Yekaterina Ignatova (13.14 percent).
