Police Search TagAZ Office

Rostov regional police have confirmed that an investigation is under way at the Taganrog Automobile Plant, or TagAZ.

"Investigative procedures are being carried out by officers from Search Unit No. 1 dealing with economic security and anti-corruption measures … and these are part of a criminal investigation that was opened earlier," said Yekaterina Danova, a local spokesperson for the ministry.

TagAZ started the assembly of Hyundai cars in 2001 and BYD and Chery cars in August last year.
