Shark Eats Man's Hands

A shark attacked a 25-year-old man bathing 50 meters off the coast of the Sea of Japan in the Primorye region, ripping off his arms, Interfax said Wednesday.

The man was hospitalized in critical condition but was expected to live.

The attack is the first since 2004, when a diver escaped a white shark attack off the Kuril Islands with bites to one leg.
