2 Executed in Belarus

MINSK —  Two men have been executed in Belarus, Europe's only nation that still puts people to death, a human rights group said.

The men were sentenced to death in the western city of Grodno after the drunken killing of two women and a man in October 2009. Oleg Gulak of the Belarus Helsinki Committee said Friday that the men's families were notified about the executions.
