Putin Names Fund Manager

Icon Private Equity's Kirill Dmitriyev was appointed to manage a new fund that the government is creating to attract investment, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.

Putin met Wednesday with bankers from Goldman Sachs Group, Blackstone Group, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and others from the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, Peskov said.

The prime minister is head of the supervisory board of the state development bank VEB, which is working with the government to set up the fund.
