Ukrainian billionaire Renat Akhmetov owns the most expensive apartment in London, the Financial Times reported.
Akhmetov purchased the apartment in 2007, but the purchase only became publicly known this month from new property records. The three-story penthouse at 1 Hyde Park cost £136.6 million ($222.5 million). It was purchased through Akhmetov's System Capital Management. The newspaper said Akhmetov planned to spend £60 million on the renovation of the property.
