Belarus Bailout Discussed

Talks with Belarus on providing it with financial assistance are planned to resume April 14, the Finance Ministry said on its web site Tuesday.

The two sides continued negotiations in Moscow on April 11 to determine economic policies Belarus might implement in the "medium term," according to the statement.

Belarus, which last month made the first coupon payment on its debut bonds in Russian rubles, expected in the "near future" to complete talks with Russia and other former Soviet partners on a $3 billion bailout loan, the Belarussian Finance Ministry said March 31.
