Tsvetkov Suspect Held

A suspect in the 2002 murder of Magadan Governor Valentin Tsvetkov, who was arrested in the far eastern city of Nakhodka, will be sent to Moscow for investigation, Interfax said Thursday.

Sergei Filippenko, on the run since 2007, was held last month, but the arrest was not reported before, an Investigative Committee spokesman said.

Four people were jailed over Tsvetkov's murder in February, but the masterminds of the alleged contract hit remain unidentified.
