Spanish Sign Agreements

ST. PETERSBURG — Russian and Spanish companies signed two cooperation agreements before a meeting between President Dmitry Medvedev and King Juan Carlos I of Spain on Friday.

A memorandum on technical and economic cooperation between Alliance Group and the Spanish company Tecnicas Reunidas was signed in the presence of the head of state and the monarch. Russian Railways and Patentes Talgo signed an agreement on the delivery and maintenance of passenger cars from the Spanish company.

Medvedev praised his country's cooperation with Spain and its partners in dealing with the crisis, saying the Group of 20 "has once again reaffirmed its efficiency as a collective tool for handling the crisis."
