100 Nationalists Rally

About 100 young men staged an improvised nationalist rally in Izmailovsky Park in eastern Moscow on Wednesday, a law enforcement source told Interfax, adding that riot police briefly detained about 50 of them.

The rally was dubbed "Russians without alcohol and for healthy lifestyle" and saw the participants taking an organized run through the park, only to be nabbed by police at the exit, the source said.

An unidentified detainee told Interfax that participants were only released after they signed police protocols saying they were shouting profanities in a public place, which amounts to charges of minor hooliganism. No official comment about the report was available.
