Maxi Group Ruling Expected

Novolipetsk Steel has asked the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's international commercial tribunal to suspend a claim for 5.9 billion rubles ($201 million) against Nikolai Maximov, founder of steel mini-mill developer Maxi Group, Novolipetsk Steel said in a statement Tuesday.

The Moscow Arbitration Court is due on Feb. 19 to hear a bankruptcy case that Novolipetsk Steel filed against Maxi Group and, if bankruptcy is granted, the ruling could serve as additional grounds for the chamber's claim, Novolipetsk Steel said.
