Toshiba Talks Uranium

TOKYO &mdash Toshiba and Techsnabexport, the export arm of Atomenergoprom, may form a venture in Japan as early as this summer to sell enriched uranium to companies including Japanese utilities, Toshiba spokesman Hiroki Yamazaki said by telephone.

The companies haven't decided details of the venture, including the investment ratio, Yamazaki said. Toshiba and Atomenergoprom signed an agreement in May 2009 to consider cooperation in  nuclear fuel, atomic plant construction and  manufacturing.
