DAVOS, Switzerland — Obopay is looking into expanding its mobile money service beyond India to the other BRIC countries, executive chairwoman Carol Realini said Friday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The Redwood City, California-based company enters new markets through partnerships with banks and handset vendors and could go public one day, she said. Obopay lets customers transfer money and pay bills from any handset without having a bank account.
