Lovers Commit Suicide

A star-crossed teenage couple committed suicide by leaping off the roof of a 16-story building in the Moscow region town of Fryazino, apparently because their parents prohibited them from dating, Interfax reported Wednesday, citing a law enforcement source.

A spokeswoman for the local Investigative Committee confirmed the double suicide but did not identify the victims, saying only that the girl was 15.

The teens left a suicide note on a mobile phone, the spokeswoman added. She did not elaborate, citing the ongoing investigation.
