LONDON — British display screen maker Plastic Logic has won the promise of a $650 million investment from Rusnano, the Financial Times said Tuesday in an unsourced report.
Rusnano will take an immediate stake of about 25 percent in Plastic Logic in exchange for an initial injection of $150 million, the newspaper said, adding that the Russian government may eventually take control as more financing becomes available. Plastic Logic makes screens that could be used in the fast-growing electronic book market. It was founded in 2000 in the Cambridge technology research hub, but its main manufacturing facility is in Germany.
