Presley Double in Court

Two former policemen went on trial in Omsk for attempting to torch the car of a district judge, the local web site Omskpress.ru reported, adding that one of the suspects dressed up as Elvis Presley during the attack.

The unidentified ex-officers were identified because the Presley double changed into the outfit in front of a street surveillance camera. The car sustained minor damage from a Molotov cocktail.

The suspects face up to five years in prison. The conflict was not work-related, being prompted by the officers’ conflict with the judge’s relatives, a local police representative said, without elaborating.
