TNK-BP’s billionaire shareholder Viktor Vekselberg resigned as executive director from the beginning of next year, Interfax said, citing an unidentified spokesman for the businessman.
Vekselberg will remain a shareholder in the venture, which is half owned by BP, Interfax said.
Mikhail Slobodin, president of Vekselberg’s Integrated Energy Systems utilities holding company, may replace the billionaire as head of TNK-BP’s gas business, the news service said, citing unidentified people with knowledge of the matter.
