Gazprom in India Unclear

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, India’s biggest energy explorer, said Tuesday that it was unaware of a reported plan by Gazprom to supply liquefied natural gas to the South Asian nation in exchange for ONGC’s stake in a Russian project.

Gazprom is considering swapping the LNG supply for the 20 percent stake in the Sakhalin-1 project held by state-owned ONGC, the Indo-Asian News Service reported, citing Stanislav Tsygankov, head of foreign relations at the Russian company.
