Car Production to Double

Domestic car production is expected to increase more than 100 percent by 2013 in comparison with 2009, Deputy Economic Development Minister Andrei Klepach said Wednesday. He said car output in Russia increased by 88 percent in January-August.

Klepach added that increased production will be possible thanks to the utilization program, as well as a program for subsidizing loans to upgrade leading automotive plants.
