New Victim in LUKoil Case

Police have declared the daughter of one of the two women killed in February in a road accident involving a LUKoil vice president as a victim in the case, Interfax reported Tuesday.

The daughter of Vera Sidelnikova is only 2 years old, but her status as a victim allows her representatives to get access to investigation materials.

Media reports said last week that the case may be closed Wednesday with Sidelnikova, not LUKoil executive Anatoly Barkov or his driver, found at fault. But a police source told RIA-Novosti on Tuesday that the probe would proceed, and the case will be transferred to prosecutors Friday.
